At the moment I am in Florida on holiday. Last night I went to a Rock Concert at Seaworld. This cheeky chap was always close by waiting to help himself to the fish intended for Shamu, the killer whale.
The way you have caught the essential character of the bird reminds me of oriental art. So simple but effective. I think you should try more like this.
