A doodle a day keeps the doldrums away! Did you paint this from memory Ingrid, or with a photo as a reference?

Hello Ingrid, I always find that doodling is a good way to get back into painting.

This is very good. I like the pose, which makes him look so confident and self-important.

Not bad for a doodle Ingrid! Even when you run out of ideas on what to paint, it's amazing what you can come up with by just rolling a little paint around on the paper.

Thank you Sandra, and Frank! Thanks for stopping by. :) I painted this from a photo Frank, supplied by a friend in the U.S

I loved sweeping the brush around for his tail feathers Elizabeth, I'm glad you like them. Thank you, good to see you! And good to see you too Keith. Iain was up your way the week before last but I couldn't go with him, I hope to see you on his next visit. Thanks for your encouragement! :)

Alice, you always make me feel so good! I hope because my doodles are so spontaneous they keep the simplicity I strive for. Nice to see you! Thank you also Ralph. Are you like me and don't know wether to get out your sun cream or umbrella these days? I hope all is good with you!

This summer has indeed been busy Susan. I have just come home from a trip to the Isle of Skye. Had a super time and got lots of photos for painting. Hope both you and Neil are well. :)
