Miss "Missy"

I was talking to a friend today about 'cats' ... it made me think of this sketch I did recently of my friend Gilly's cat, Missy. It was a quick and simple doodle, and I got a lot of pleasure from painting her.

I'm sitting here looking out the window at the small hill at the back of the house. Although it is 9.30pm the sun is shining brightly, casting lovely shadows from the trees across the grass. So many shades of green, lovely pictures to store in my mind for winter. I love sitting here, the sky changes every time I glance out of the window and I find my mind wandering as I watch the clouds sailing by .....

Lovely delicate watercolour Ingrid. I've always loved sketching my dogs and cats too. You're very lucky to have such a beautiful view through your window :)

Ingrid,, I know I saw this on the forum , but have to say again how much I like it.. Your watercolors are soft and delicate,, so between that and my love of cats for me it's
a winner.. BJ

Many thanks for your lovely comment Michael, always nice to see you. I am so lucky to live where I do. Although there are houses all around me, the hill gives me a sense of freedom as I sit here. The view from the top of the hill is wonderful. If I walk 5 minutes down my road I come to a deserted beach ... love it! :)
