'Ella'

This is the second of the paintings I had shelved. I met Ella whilst in France earlier this year. She had that way of looking at us and we knew exactly what she wanted ... walkies, or on Jenny's knee. We had some lovely walks together in the forest ...

Thank you so much BJ. Being an impressionist painter I try hard to capture an expression ... or feeling. Hope life is good across the pond. tc :)

This is lovely Ingrid and you've captured a wonderful expression in Ella's eyes too!

That's the thing about these paintings Ingrid: they always have such depth of feeling.

Fabulous painting. You have captured such expression and emotion. I can almost feel the dog leaning towards me .. bravo! xx

I am so glad you notice that 'feeling' Keith. I watch other artists paint wonderful portraits of dogs and the detail is amazing. I can't do that, I'm an impressionist painter. I paint what I see, but more importantly for me, I paint what I 'feel'. You, my friend introduced me to Wesson, Seago, Yardley, Fletcher Watson ... from that day on, detail was lost on me.
Thank you Keith! :)

So pleased you like my painting Gary, thank you! Each day I look for "What you missed in Dubois" on FB, and I so remember seeing the beautiful Fall colours when I visited your country two years ago. Yet again it proved to me that 'Mother Nature' is the finest artist ever ... you portrayed her very well. :)

I can't thank you enough Pat. :) To know that others can sense the feeling I am trying to convey makes me feel on top of the world. The sun is shining, it's my daughter's birthday, and you have all given me a great start to the day. Thank you!
tc Pat. Hope you have a great day! ~X~

Ella's eyes were beautiful Michael and it delights me that I was able to convey that to you. Thank you for your support. :)
