'Peony'

I started this painting ages ago but found it too detailed for me and discarded it. We are always told not to put anything in the bin, so I 'shelved' it. Recently I got out two paintings I had shelved and decided to finish them ... this is one of them! Like every painting I learnt something from this one ... I need only add as much detail as I wish. I enjoyed this painting and I felt good when I finished it.

Hello there Maggie .. it's great to meet you! :) I guess you must be on the other side of the pond if it is still night time with you. It is 10.30 in the morning here in Scotland. So pleased you like my art ... hope to see a lot more of you! tc Ingrid. :)

Glad you didn't bin this one Ingrid - and well done for going back to it and finishing it - It's a lovely fresh painting :) I can't even begin to count the number of paintings I've binned along the way lol!

Thanks Michael, nice to see you. :) I couldn't get my head round all these petals. Once I picked it up again it all fell into place. I think sometimes it helps to just walk away for a while.

I should check your site more often! of course I know a lot of your work from PMP etc, I am amazed at how much progress you have made Ingrid, your stuff is up there with the best.

You've achieved a great sense of colour and looseness with this one Ingrid - lovely.
